Medium Well Cow

This Art Show is Medium Well Cow; showing the artwork from several different mediums and artists. The names of the artists who's work is represented are:

This art exhibition is about the glorious cow. Small cow, big cow and a lot of in between cow. Each artist represents a different medium, and the piece is well done. Hence, Medium Well Cow. Narrowing down the choice to ten works of cow art was a challenge, but the result is spectacular. From Party Gal to Holy Calf, there's a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy.

Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), is considered the greatest Dutch painter after Rembrandt, although he remained poor and virtually unknown throughout his life. Van Gogh used Jordaen's subject and composition for his rendition of Cows.
Cows are loved so much that even van Gogh needed to make a bovine reproduction.

Alexander Calder (1898 – 1976) was an American sculptor known as the originator of the mobile. Dr. Marcus Bunyan (ArtBlart) says that Calder only needed some wire, a pair of pliers and his own bare hands to create magic. Through life force, he transfers his energy into the twists and turns of the wire, embodying kinetic energy into his sculptures. Wire cow belongs in every art exhibit.

 Robert Joyner was born in 1968 in Hampton, Virginia and is well known for his cow artwork. His paintings are widely collected throughout the world and are quickly becoming a collectors favorite.

Robert was hand selected by Churchill Downs to be the Official artist of the 2012 Kentucky Derby. Robert Joyner and Warhol on the same canvas... it's a must!

Mike lives and works in Exeter, UK and regularly ventures into the countryside to find inspiration for his animal and landscape paintings. In addition to his artistic endeavors Mike has a PhD in Optical Physics and his work as a research scientist led to him acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the way light is reflected, transmitted and scattered by different materials and objects. Basic art at its best.

Rolandas was born in 1978 in the small town of Senkonys Dzukija, in the southern ethnographic region of Lithuania. He came to the United States in 2001, and settled in Branford, Long Island Sound. He wrote his first children's book while studying for his masters. He received a M.A. in Art in 2006 and now teaches art and illustration. Charcoal is definitely a true art medium and worthy of any art gallery.
